Josie Hatem joined Nevada Housing Division in August 2014—one month before the rollout of Home Is Possible. Is it a coincidence that HIP is a huge, award-winning, record-breaking success? We think not. What we know for sure is that Josie has proven to be a go-to, behind-the-scenes, awesome-under-pressure, just-get-‘er-done team member.
She handles everything from answering lender questions to creating monthly newsletters; from setting up training sessions for real estate and mortgage professionals to acting as the department safety coordinator. Josie enjoys the daily interaction she has with the public and her team members, and is thankful to learn new things every day.
While she started with us as an administrative assistant, Josie earned her new position as Homebuyer Programs Specialist in large part due to her self-motivation and disciplined approach to everything she touches. She is not only bilingual (English & Spanish) but is also fluent in many different computer programs. So very handy!
Josie must have had an amazing childhood because some of her favorite things—riding a bike, skateboarding, cold pizza, melted ice cream and soggy nachos—take her back there. She is passing the experiences on to her two daughters. Together, they like to take long walks, enjoy the great outdoors, attend art festivals and listen to live bands, many of which are managed by her oldest daughter. To that, we say, “Rock on, Josie.”
Josie is based in the Las Vegas office.
